Transvestite fiction. J Nerv Ment Dis. 1976 Dec;l63(6):420-7 Authors: Buhrich N, McConaghy N Nonscientific literature concerning transvestism is briefly reviewed. Fiction published since its inception by the Australian transvestite journal Feminique is analyzed. Many stories have remarkably similar themes. The fictional themes contrast sharply with the reality of transvestite experiences. Fictional themes in transvestite literature analyzed by previous workers are reported. These are compared with the themes in the material of the present study. The service tracks key scientific and medical developments from early consideration of research opportunities and published findings through practical application in clinical settings.Researchers and students from qualifying institutions regularly receive special emailings from TS-Si that consist of abstracts and other materials that support their interest areas.
