First, I'm not a moron, Second, Non-Op TS isn't an oxymoron. Non-Op Transsexual. Lets break this down: 1. Non Op - Opting to not have the operation 2. Transsexual - An individual whose mind/brain/psych doesn't match their physical gender. 3. Non Op Transsexual - An individual whose mind doesn't match their physical gender, and does not choose to have an operation to align them (for whatever reason). 4. Oxymoron - A figure of speech by which a locution produces an incongruous, seemingly self-contradictory effect, as in “cruel kindness” or “to make haste slowly.” How is this an oxymoron? Thanks.

Interesting study, but a very small response of the targeted group of researchers (205 out of 1400 surveyed and 400 responses). Of the problems reported in obtaining the research lines, 95 (46.34%) appear to be related to legal considerations of the MTA and Federal considerations; 27% (55 researchers) were NOT approved by the research Institution which is NOT related to the difficulty in obtaining stem cells for research. Of the 205, only 39 were related to the "owner" not "willing" to share, there could be innumerable reasons for this. This means that 73.2 % were NOT related to a lack of sharing but to other problems...

While I applaud this judgement and is clearly justified in this case; what always concerns me in judgements like this one is the tendency for others to use these cases as a crack in the door to gain rights to which they have no entitlement. Cases where were their individual circumstance would not in fact have won judgement had it come to a court. I point to the UK where exceptions provided for under GRA have been exploited to grant recognition to individuals who clearly would not have qualified them prior to legislation. Where had their situations been the subject of debate during the passing of GRA the act would neve...

The problem doesn't lie with those women who are transitioning toward SRS. The problem is with the delusional transvestite men who when cross dressed imagine that they are truly women and feel they have every right to use women's facilities. Acceptance and the law has changed greatly in the last 30 years but I see no solution to that problem.

I agree in that Female restrooms are generally divided into individual stalls where any possible exposure of genitals would occur. It would be hazardous in many instances for a Transsexual MtF when dressed as a female to use the male restroom. Changing rooms and other dressing area would indeed be more problematic, although in department stores and other places where clothing is purchased, the changing rooms are usually enclosed and not in view of others. Gyms and swimming pools would present their own problems, especially with the showers, and in those instances, people with a penis do not belong.

Our position has always been that an individual (in this case M2F) who is provably on track to surgical correction, and has taken the initial steps via hormonal reconsitution and possible name change, should have access to female restrooms. We do not, however, extend that to changing rooms and other places where visual exposure is likely.

Oh Sure and now you can make ALL the taxpayers responsible for the health care of your children at a rate that MANY taxpayers will not see. How "Wonderful". I don't dislike children, but I then a parent should be responsible for all the costs of raising that child. State workers are NOT underpaid and covering people that are at or below 250% of the poverty level means they ARE NOT poor. Thee is NO EXCUSE for switching these costs to all the taxpayers.
