Manchester, UK. As a political movement the Trans leadership has shown itself to be extremely agile in terms of selling myths to the Establishment.

Of course no-one wants to see any person discriminated against by hate however there is no real difference between a hate crime based on being for example Goth or Mixed Race or a different religion or perceived as being demonstrably born in a different sex to the one you try to assimilate into by means of dress or body modification.


Hate crimes are hate crimes and Equality means Equal. So why isn’t the Trans movement about the removal of all recording of sex and why is the issue of the right to delay puberty and maximize the ability to merge into your true sex not allowed by the British Department of Health?

Answer: Commercial Opportunity. There is much more money in promoting difference than true equality. Think about it.

• It starts with medicine by making Trans a post puberty incurable mental illness the talking therapies of the National Health Service have guaranteed income and the psychiatrists gain incredible power over their victims.
  
  
• The law makers love Trans as it enables them to raise incredible and almost incomprehensible statutes.
  
  
• The legal profession loves Trans as it adds a whole range of income from discrimination cases.
  
  
• The Abrahamic Religions love Trans as it allows them to cling to creationism and cover up their hypocrisy.
  
  
• Male supremacists love Trans as it allows them to demean women.
  
  
• Drag Queens, Drag Kings and effeminate Gay men love Trans as it allows them to deny their sexuality.
  
  
• Employers love Trans as they can add it to Equal Opportunity Policies and look good in PR terms without doing anything as with “Equal Opportunities Employer”.
  
  
• Most importantly though the Sex Industry loves Trans as an income stream as it’s a popular male fantasy and fetish.

Does all that matter? Well … No, providing that children who want to delay their puberty can do so.

Much as I have been personally unaffected by childhood trauma — other than losing my best friend through childhood leukemia which taught me that you never know how much life you will have — I have found a large number of people who have been in some shape or form.

The devastating effect of going through the wrong puberty on a child born transsexual must be avoided if at all possible. We have a very different society to the one I was born into in 1950 in England though many try now to take us back there.

The tiny — and it is tiny — number of children with a brain that is the opposite sex to the body deserve the best chance of integrated lives in a society that will (probably) for many, many years to come remain dominated by those who seek personal wealth regardless of the effects on others.

I am a Quaker Pagan through choice and it’s not an easy one as commitment to a simple non exploitative way of life is not that easy. The Quaker Commitment to Peace and Social justice means you must try to find that of the Good Spirit in everyone and taking on the sheer weight of Trans politics is daunting.

However daunting as that may be the truth is the truth: some children will be born with a female brain but an otherwise mostly male body. Well, sufficient for the “it’s a boy” medical analysis at the moment of birth. Some children will also be born with ambiguous or dual genitalia.

The fundamental & basic human right is that the child and only the child must be the arbiter of what sex they are or wish to be. To deny that right to the child because of any lack of knowledge or understanding is wrong. With puberty delaying drugs now available no one has the right to deny a child that option. Given the appalling bigotry or prejudice of some parents, that right must be enshrined in statute as an anonymous choice if circumstances dictate.

No one committed to equality would now consider it right to deny a child the right to anonymous birth control and the same must apply to puberty-delaying drugs.

That must become the number one priority and much can be achieved immediately by dropping the fiction of the post puberty incurable mental illness and immediate issuance of guidelines to GPs on the anonymous prescription of puberty delaying drugs.

That is the mark of our progress as a human race.

For me the key questions of equality and humanity are:

1. Does your country consider transsexual & transgender to be a mental illness?
   
   
2. Does your country allow a child to be the sex they know they are?
   
   
3. Does your country allow full and equal same sex marriage?

On all of these Great Britain fails and the Trans lobby just ignores them as “after all it’s just a delusion isn't it”? Well, no.
