Maoist pajamas and fundamentalist theology

Lisa Jain Thompson
Global Warning: Lisa Jain Thompson
Springfield, VA, USA. We will not be terrorized by the gender theorists, the left wing socialists, the right wing moralists, any more than I will go to hell for religious talibans that pervert science and manufacture distorted papal bulls as scientific papers.

Liberal socialism is not a diagnostic symptom for transsexuality. Knee-jerk anti-war pacificism in not a pre-op determinate for Sex Reassignment Surgery (SRS). Harry Benjamin Syndrome (HBS) [transsexuality] is a medical condition, not a political cause or catch phrase slogan to place on gaily festooned banners.

The Charge Of The Light Brigade

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
     Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell ...
Alfred, Lord Tennyson
Moreover, it is not my job or to make everyone feel better about their position in life. My mission, the TS-S mission, is focused and singular: helping those born with HBS successfully transition through surgery and into society.

We do not buy into political agendas, left or right, but reflect the fact that HBS occurs across the political and economic spectrum, from the rich and privileged land owner in a gated community to the black or olive-skinned sex worker plying her trade on the street. The common thread is our transsexuality.

Those who insist that equality is a synonym for living interchangable, carbon copy existences that are indistinguishable from one another are misguided, however well intentioned. We do not all fit into the same drab set of Maoist pajamas.

Capitalism is not inherently sinful: making sufficient money to support yourself and your family and pay for your own operation and medical treatments is not heresy. Socialism is not a cure-all for the problems of the six to seven billion humans currently living on this overcrowded world. Substitution of a socialist overseer for a capitalist master simply exchanges a new boss for the old one (appropriating Peter Townsend).

Given the opportunity and time, those in leadership positions, whether socially liberal or conservative, will abuse their power and attempt to silence their opposition. We would not be slave to leftist ideology any more than we would bow our knee to fundamentalist theology.

In both the public conversation of ideas and the day to day lives of working people, Capitalism works better than any other economic theory yet proposed or tested. Communism and socialism have failed.

The growing nanny society that is infiltrating the United States is a threat to our individual liberty. Blue-nosed politically correct censors strangle our freedom and place the government’s foot on our individualistic necks.

We do not march, step in lock-step, in some vast parade of indistinguishable androids. Neither the left nor the right has any special commission to program our thoughts and beliefs. We refuse submit to faceless political censors who demand we conform to their narrow dogmas.

We hold these truths to be self-evident:
  • Talent counts.

  • Money helps.

  • Determination overrides most any obstacle.

  • Less government is better government.
True equality means that everyone has the same opportunity to take risks, the same chance to try and better themselves, the same fighting chance to live their lives as they see fit, not that everyone is guaranteed success. The only surety in life is death.

The best solution to hunger, to sickness, to medical treatment, is to raise the less affluent, the less educated, the outcasts and misfits, up to our standards, not drag us down to theirs. Lack of education does not bestow a special knowledge on anyone; a well diploma’d background does guaranteed access to the unvarnished truth.

Demands for conformity of thought are disingenuous and undermine our democratic principles.

HBS is not transgenderism. We are not transgendered.

Transsexuality is a medical condition, not a social construct.
We do not feel ourselves in community with transgenderism. Because we feel that ours is a result of a mistake in the womb others have taken our message as being one of elitism. We are accused and ridiculed as being separatists and all the while we are told that we too are transgender and mocked for trying to explain our feelings. It is not enough for us to proclaim that we knew from an early age that we were born incomplete but now we are expected to align ourselves with those in the transgender community or face ridicule and scorn from them. That is offensive to us especially when many in that community are those driven by sexual or fetish interests and others who take on opposite sex characteristics without there being any driven inner need for them to be whole but only to create an illusionary lifestyle. — Diane L. Kearny, Board Member, HBSG
We do not march under the insistent drum beat of uniform transgenderism. Not at birth, not now, not ever.
Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire. — Robert A. Heinlein
And so it goes.
